Defined and United by the Great Commission

Southern Baptists have always been a gospel people; God-willing, we always will be. The gospel is, as Paul said, “of first importance” (1 Corinthians 15:3). I pray that we will constantly and loudly and unashamedly talk about the gospel. Chief among my passions for the SBC at this time is that we reinforce our identity as a gospel people, putting the gospel above all.

“The need is too great, the hour is too near, and the beauty of the gospel is too precious for us to define ourselves by anything else.”

WHO'S YOUR ONE?

Imagine if every member of your church could answer that question with the name of a person—a person they’re praying for and sharing the gospel with. Lead your church in this intentional personal evangelism effort.

GO2

Every believer has a role to play in reaching the world with the gospel. As a college student, you have a unique opportunity to commit your first two years after graduation to work somewhere strategic for God.

MULTIPLYING CHURCHES

When Jesus gave the Great Commission, He revealed that the key to reaching the world with the gospel is found in sending, not gathering. The question isn’t if we are sent. It’s where and how.

UNDIVIDED CHURCHES

The Church is supposed to declare the diversity of the kingdom and reflect the diversity of the community. We are meant to be an undivided example in a divided world.
